1. Of the world's largest cathedrals

3. It’s interior: almost a museum of painting

The box that guards the mortal remains of Christopher Columbus is surrounded by a monument of four heralds that raise it, each one representing the four Spanish kingdoms: Castile, León, Aragon and Navarre.

5. St. Peter's Chapel

This is a beautiful 17^th-century altarpiece designed by Miguel de Zumárraga and presided over by the paintings of the Immaculate Conception and Saint Peter Pope, by the artist Zurbarán and his school. In this work we can see representations of The Vision of Saint Peter repenting, The Immaculate Conception or Saint Peter freed by an angel; among others such as "Quo Vadis" and "The Eternal Father".

On the bench we can also find representations of Christ and St. Peter on the waters, Christ handing the keys of Heaven to St. Peter and St. Peter healing the paralytic. It is because of so many references to the saint that this chapel is named after him.
